1. When do the new Veteran and Disabled rules become effective?
- The rules become effective Monday March 24, 2014.
2. Must my company be in compliance with all the new rules by March 24, 2014?
- The OFCCP has announced that contractors may take advantage of a "phased in" compliance schedule. If your AAP's annual update occurs before March 24, 2014, that AAP would follow the "old" rules. You are not required to start applying the new rules until completing the next annual AAP. For example: If a company annually updates their AAP on February 1, the 2014 AAP will follow the old rules. There is no need to track disabled or veteran applicants. When the AAP is updated on February 1, 2015, the new rules will apply and you will begin tracking disabled and veteran applicants along with the other provisions of the rules.
